In the Aegean #2
This mosaic features a turtle and an octopus hanging out underneath a boat in the Aegean Sea. It is made of glass, smalti, winkelmans porcelain ceramic, and hand made clay pieces. It is inspired by the time I spent in the city of Mytilene, in Lesvos, Greece, where I swam in the sea and watched the fishing boats going out to catch fish. It is designed to hang outside in a garden environment.
